I wanted to share what’s been happening behind the scenes at Absolutely Clean. This past year it was a little slower than usual. Not bad, just quieter. And it gave us the space to reset, refocus, and reconnect—and now, I truly feel like we’re coming back stronger than ever.
We’ve been starting our mornings with quick team pow-wows. Nothing formal—just a chance to check in, share updates, and make sure we’re all aligned before we head out for the day. It’s a small habit, but it’s made a big difference in how we communicate and deliver thoughtful, consistent cleans.
And speaking of the team we’ve been blown away by the incredible applicants coming our way. There’s been a steady stream of kind, motivated people who genuinely want to make a difference. We’ve always believed in hiring for heart and training the skill, and this season has reminded me just how powerful that approach can be.
Something else I’ve leaned into more lately is showing appreciation—loud and clear. When someone on the team goes above and beyond, I want them to feel seen. Just last week, a few of our cleaners went home with dinner for their families after an outstanding week. It’s a small gesture, but it means a lot.
We’ve been doing this for over 25 years here in Cedar Rapids, and while things have shifted over time, our core hasn’t changed: we’re here to serve, care, and help people feel more at peace in their homes.
